Project Title | : | Automated Inference in Large Dimensional Panel Data Models via Shrinkage |
About the Project | : | Cross section dependence and unobserved heterogeneity are two important issues in large dimensional panel data models where both the cross section and time dimensions are large. The project seeks to address both issues in a uniform way via the use of shrinkage techniques. The methodology to be developed can be applied to study various issues in macroeconomics (e.g. economic growth and convergence), empirical finance (e.g. asset pricing), microeconomics (e.g. group or subsample studies of stability), and so on. |
Project Duration | : | July 2013 to June 2016 |

Project Title | : | Coordinating Automated Para-Transit Service Operations |
About the Project | : | The theme of this project is mobility on demand, with special focus on urban shared-ride services in various settings (e.g. airport shuttle, last-mile service). Our primary research interest is in designing theoretically sound and practically implementable mechanisms that allow costs to be distributed fairly when rides are shared. |

Project Title | : | Improving Clone Detection for Systems Software |
About the Project | : | Code clones, which are similar/equivalent code fragments in various locations of a software system, can cause software maintenance problems and increase software costs. We investigate strategies for more effective code clone identification in large scale system software. |
Project Duration | : | January 2013 to December 2014 |
Remarks | : | The project is co-funded by The Institut Français de Singapour. |
