The National Research Foundation (NRF) has launched the Singapore NRF Fellowship Call (Class of 2015). The NRF Fellowship is a globally competitive programme which seeks to provide opportunities for early career researchers from all over the world to lead high impact, independent research in Singapore.
The NRF Fellowship is open to outstanding scientists and researchers of any nationality, in the early stage of their research careers and ready to take on their independent research. The researchers should have post-doctoral research experience in any discipline of science and technology.
This programme provides a research grant of up to S$3 million over 5 years, to support projects that exhibit high likelihood of a research breakthrough. Research must be conducted in Singapore.
Applications undergo a two-step selection process. All valid applications received by NRF will be forwarded to the prospective host institutions for a first round of shortlisting. Subsequently, shortlisted candidates will have to contact their intended host institution to obtain a Letter of Support endorsed by the Faculty Dean. Final shortlisted candidates will be invited to Singapore for the final interview by the NRF Fellowship Evaluation Panel (FEP).
