The SMU Lee Kong Chian School of Business will be organising the First International Network on Trust (FINT) Singapore Workshop from 21 Nov to 23 Nov 2013 at SMU. This is the 7th International Workshop organised by FINT; prior workshops were convened in Amsterdam, Madrid and Milan.
The FINT workshops have been established as a forum for trust scholars from different countries and disciplines (including economics, marketing, work and organisational psychology, sociology of organisations, political sciences, information sciences, and linguistics) to come together to share their research and discuss opportunities, challenges, and methodologies in the study of trust worldwide. It has played an important role in the development of an international research programme on ‘Trust Within and Between Organisations.’
David De Cremer, Professor of Organisational Behaviour from China Europe International Business School, Shanghai. | Toshio Yamagishi Professor, Center for Evolutionary Cognitive Sciences, Tokyo University and Professor, Brain Science Institute, Tamagawa University. |
The 2013 workshop will attract researchers from the growing Asian scientific communities, as well as Europe and North America, to engage in a more intensive dialogue between East and West. There will be two keynote speakers, namely David De Cremer, Professor of Organisational Behaviour from China Europe International Business School, Shanghai; and Toshio Yamagishi, Project Professor, Center for Evolutionary Cognitive Sciences, Tokyo University and Professor, Brain Science Institute, Tamagawa University.
The workshop expects to attract about 80 participants, comprising some of the most prominent trust scholars worldwide, plus many PhD students and emerging scholars doing cutting-edge research on trust. Thus, the workshop represents a valuable opportunity for SMU faculty and students to meet the community of trust scholars and learn about trust research in progress.
